Nelson kills a man in cold blood during a barroom brawl and convinces wife Freeman and her brother Goodliffe to help him escape. Both driving trucks, they manage to evade Scotland Yard authorities by shifting Nelson from one vehicle to the other. They become aware that the murder wasn't accidental, as Nelson claimed.
