Released as a silent in 1929 and again later with partially dubbed sound, this ridiculous picture deals with the travails of Rehmann who, breaking one of the lenses in the French lighthouse he tends, is forced to row ashore for a replacement. Pausing in town for a pick-me-up, the innocent lad is beset by prostitutes. Reluctantly wayward Negri is slapped about by vicious panderer Ward, and Rehmann leaps to her defense.
