Pryor plays a disaffected Madison Avenue advertising executive in mid-life crisis who leaves his wife, Smith, and young daughter, Blair. He initiates a series of unsatisfactory love affairs with professional dancer McAneny, with TV executive Simon, and with onetime girl friend--now married matron--Miles. Learning of his liaisons, Smith seeks a divorce. Pryor consoles himself once more with McAneny, who promptly has a nervous breakdown.
