A claustrophobic but chilling account of the British midget submarines that attempted to sink the giant German pocket battleship Tirpitz by planting underwater explosives on her hull in a foggy Norwegian fjord where the ship was riding at hidden anchorage. Mills and others are taken through their rigorous training for the near-suicidal mission with typical British resolve and resignation.
