This soapsuds drama is a backward look at the shared lives of longtime married couple Hall-Davis and Margetson. They remember the good times, as well as the major tragedy of their marriage, when their daughter was impregnated by an already-wed neighbor and subsequently died in childbirth. The story is a routine break-out-the-handkerchiefs sort of film, typical of lower-caste dramas. leave a comment
