The war separates Mills from his wife, Shelton, who stays with Mills' mother and sister. When Shelton becomes involved with Granger, a spineless cheat who used fake medical papers to stay out of the service, Mills gets word and goes AWOL. After getting beaten into the ground by Granger's friends, he turns around and does the same to Granger, winning back his wife. The final fight sequence is terrific as bombs drop during an air raid while the two men slug it out. leave a comment
