Warkill

Set in the Philippines near the end of WW II, WARKILL tells the story of Montgomery, a hardened, animalistic American colonel who leads a band of Filipino guerrillas in attacks against Japanese troops, and Drake, the journalist who has lionized Montgomery without having met him. When Drake decides finally to cover the hero in the flesh, he is shocked by his subject's brutal take-no-prisoners tactics. His repulsion lessens, however, when he witnesses atrocities committed by the Japanese and joins Montgomery in a raid in which the colonel dies bravely just before reinforcements arrive to fend off the enemy.
