Brook stars as a bourgeous financier who finds himself on trial when his brother-in-law's body floats to the top of the garden pond. He is acquitted but returns home to find a romance blossoming between his wife and his lawyer. He confronts the lawyer with the truth--that he (Brook) really was guilty--and then leaps to his death from a balcony. Strong, tense drama with convincing motivations. leave a comment
