War Of The Buttons

An interesting French anti-war film about two groups of boys who wage war against each other. The prizes in battle are the buttons of the enemy, and during the fighting the boys strip each other of their buttons. Cleverly, one side enters the next battle naked and resoundingly defeats their opponents. One boy on the winning team turns traitor, and during the victory celebration the enemy stages a sneak attack and wins. The traitor is discovered, and punishment is meted out to him. Seeking revenge, the boy runs home to his parents and tells on his companions. The children are rounded up by the adults and punished, but their leader escapes. Eventually he is caught an...
