Waltz Across Texas

A lame attempt at resurrecting the romantic comedies of the 1930s and 40s, WALTZ ACROSS TEXAS stars the husband-and-wife team of Anne Archer and Terry Jastrow, who just don't have the magic needed to spark interest in the hackneyed material. Archer's Gail Weston is a cool intellectual East Coast geologist out to find black gold. Jastrow plays a tough-but-lovable Texas wildcatter, John Taylor, who counts on his instincts and scoffs at science. They fall in love and combine their talents. No surprises here.
