Eggar, a beautiful young antique appraiser crippled by polio, succumbs to the charms of Hemmings, a struggling young painter. Romance blooms and Eggar moves in with Hemmings. It isn't long before Hemmings suggests that Eggar help him and his partner, Williams, rob the antique shop where she works.
