Slow screen biography starring Murphy as John P. Clum, famed Indian agent responsible for encouraging Geronimo (played by Silverheels again) to surrender to the authorities. The film sees Murphy as a noble ex-soldier working diligently at setting up a system so that the Apaches will be
allowed self-government. Into the drama are thrown marital difficulties between Murphy and his wife Crowley. Crowley doesn't take kindly to widowed squaw Bancroft's attentions to her husband, and she would like nothing better than to move back East. The climax, when Silverheels surrenders to
Murphy, is less than thrilling.
