A grim Hollywood drama starring Vorno as a young man who hits the skids after his wife leaves him. Soon after, Vorno's junkyard business folds up and he is forced to join some crooks in a waterfront holdup. Vorno meets and falls in love with McClanahan, a young woman willing to bed producers to get her big break in Hollywood.
