Stewart stars as the daughter of rich Canadian businessman Needles. She moves to Quebec and takes up with Tasse, an aspiring actor. Trouble arises when Howay, Stewart's former lover, arrives proposing marriage. The men compete for Stewart's affections, but it quickly becomes apparent that
it is her father whom she truly loves. When Stewart learns that her father intends to marry a young college friend of hers, she flies to Vancouver to attend the engagement party, dragging Tasse and Howay with her. At the party her lovers realize that they can never compete with her father for her
affection, so they both depart, leaving Stewart very alone.
