The Wagons Roll At Night

This remake of the Edward G. Robinson-Humphrey Bogart vehicle of 1937, KID GALAHAD, transfers the action from the boxing world to the circus world. Bogart is the owner of a run-down carnival which he desperately tries to keep his convent-schooled sister, Leslie, away from. By keeping her on a distant farm, Bogart feels that he can protect her from the evils that the carnival atmosphere breeds. The carnival runs into trouble when the perpetually soused lion tamer, Rumann, inadvertently lets one of the cats loose. It wanders into a nearby general store clerked by Albert, who calmly corners the animal with a pitchfork. Bogart, impressed with Albert's ease around lions...
