Stack and Malone are a married couple who take an ocean voyage. Once at sea, a fire breaks out and the ship begins slowly sinking. Malone is trapped in the ship's lowest level and most of the picture recounts efforts to save her. This early disaster film is made watchable by a number of fine performances and the excellent camerawork of Hal Mohr, who described this picture (and his collaboration with the Stones) as the most difficult he'd ever made.
