Voice Of The Whistler

Thinking that he has only six months to live, Dix marries Merrick, promising her vast wealth on his death. She takes the offer, moving with him to an isolated lighthouse with thoughts of supplying her intern fiance with a hefty sum in a half year. But things don't go quite as planned: Dix regains his health, and he and Merrick fall in love in the process. The jealous fiance shows up planning to murder Dix, only to get himself killed. Finaly, Dix is taken to the chair, leaving Merrick to pass her days alone in the lighthouse. Despite a good idea and the proper atmosphere, the story is not brought to the screen effectively, making for tough going as the plot drags it...
