As a Grand Hotel set in a fog-bound London airport, this could have been a crashing bore, but Anthony Asquith's snappy direction and some bright lines from Terence Rattigan's script saves the day. A regular flight to the U.S. has been temporarily grounded on account of the weather, leaving several desperate people stranded in the airport lounge. Chief among them: Elizabeth Taylor, who's just left her wealthy husband (Richard Burton). Also on hand is Orson Welles and the great Margaret Rutherford as a dotty duchess in danger of losing her family's estate. Read the complete review for The V.I.P.S
