It is not the least bit surprising that VICE ACADEMY went straight to video without so much as a single matinee showing in any major market. Beneath contempt and unprofessional in every respect, this exercise in borderline soft-core pornography is wholly without credibility despite the presence of B-movie queen Linnea Quigley. Ostensibly about the training of a group of police cadets, the film is primarily concerned with exhibiting its largely female cast in as many stages of undress as possible in 90 minutes. Few movies provide their casts with as many opportunities to bend over, bare their breasts, and engage in sex as VICE ACADEMY does. The film can be divided into two parts, though there are few differences between them. The first part deals with a training mission that calls for the cadets to go undercover to break up a pornography operation that employs underage girls; the second concerns an assignment involving a prostitution ring; neither is really worth watching. Followed by two sequels. leave a comment
