Bad juju stalks a group of teenage friends in this cliched stalk-and-slash picture set in backwater Louisiana. Pre-med student Eden (Agnes Bruckner) is about to realize her dream of attending Columbia University in New York, but her boyfriend, Eric (Jonathan Jackson), doesn't understand why she can't just go to school in Baton Rouge — it's closer and they could see each other on weekends as they'd always planned. They're arguing about it on a foggy bridge when elderly conjure woman Miss Emmie (Deborah Duke) comes driving out of the darkness as though the Devil himself were in her back seat.
