A very early talkie (only 13 minutes of dialog, mostly in the last 10 minutes of the film) starring Rogers as a young Princeton student who believes he is an orphan. Little does he know that his father, Conklin, is actually the janitor in his dormitory. Conklin had dropped out of sight early in Rogers' youth due to a severe drinking problem, and now the old man is keeping a close eye on his son to ensure that he doesn't reach for the bottle as well. Dull romantic subplot sees Rogers falling in love with Brian, a carnival girl he met in Trenton.
