Routine family saga starring Morgan as the patriarch of a Virginia clan consisting of his wife, Byington, and his five children. Basically a slice of life in the South from 1918 to 1929, the story follows Morgan during his tenure as a hardworking, honest, no nonsense public prosecutor. Of
course Morgan relies on the love and stability of his family life to see him through. Not bad, but nothing special. Grayson's second feature film (she went on to better things) allows her to exercise her vocal talents on "The World Was Made for You" (music by Johann Strauss) and the traditional
"Evening by the Moonlight" and "Bill Bailey."
