William is a wealthy businessman whose socialite wife, Astor, has little time for him. He takes up with burlesque queen Rogers, setting her up in an apartment. Her employer, Naish, wants to use this cozy arrangement to blackmail William, and one night as the proposed victim visits Rogers, Naish pulls a gun on him.
