Mad magazine in response to its more mature (the term is
relative) competitor in the comedy magazine field,
National Lampoon, creator of the raunchy teenage film genre with its vastly superior ANIMAL HOUSE. UP THE ACADEMY revolves around a group of teenagers struggling under the tyrannical rule of Liebman, who runs the local military academy where our
heroes are enrolled.
