Up In Arms

This is the lavish musical comedy that introduced 31-year-old vaudeville and stage star Danny Kaye to the movie audience. He plays confirmed hypochondriac Danny Weems, who is so fearful of illness that he works as a medical building's elevator operator--if disease strikes, help is no more than a scream away. When Danny and his best pal, Joe (Dana Andrews), are drafted into the Army, he must tell the woman he loves, Mary (Constance Dowling), that they are going off to war.
