A below-average, conventional western starring Cotten as the nephew of crippled cattle-tycoon Watson. When Watson refuses to let settlers travel across his property, tempers flare and Cotten finds himself in the middle of the conflict. He also finds himself in love with Winters, who has been tricked into marrying Watson's son, Brady, after witnessing him kill a man.
