Interesting perhaps only to those with a grave interest in architecture and interior design, THE UNDERWATER CITY is about as exciting as watching seaweed grow. This below-sea-level nonsense has people inhabiting the sea floor in a domed city that eventually collapses and leaves only the
two starfishy-eyed lovers--Lundigan and Adams--alive, prepared to build again. Filmed in Eastmancolor, Columbia decided to release this picture in black-and-white for some unknown reason. Badly directed and unconvincingly acted, this one could never qualify as the rapture of the deep.
