Underground

For its time, UNDERGROUND was a hard-hitting wartime drama which exposed the dark underbelly of Nazism and the Third Reich. The conflict is between two brothers in the Nazi regime, one of whom exposes the evils of the system to the other and finally convinces him of the immoral stance that marches under the symbol of the swastika. Warner Bros. tried to make the picture as timely as it could by including references to the flight of Nazi leader Rudolf Hess and to the sinking of the German pocket battleship Bismarck.
