A charming but poorly cast drama set in the English countryside which has the town squire replacing the church choir with an organ, thereby dispossessing a hundred or more years of tradition. His plan is to get close to a young lovely new to town who plays the organ. She catches on to the scheme and soon things are returned to normal. Based on a novel by Thomas Hardy. leave a comment
