Uforia

Shot independently in 1981, this funny, quirky, wholly likable little film sat on the shelf until 1985 when Universal finally decided to release it. Unfortunately, the film was given little fanfare and failed to find an audience--which is a shame, for UFORIA is a wonderfully offbeat comedy that manages to capture the eccentricities of small-town America. Set in the deserts of the Southwest, the film follows Sheldon (Fred Ward), a happy-go-lucky drifter whose wanderings bring him to a dusty desert town.
