For ONE DOWN TWO TO GO, producer-director Fred Williamson assembled some of the stars of the late 1960s and early 1970s black exploitation films and added kung fu movie veteran Jim Kelly in an apparent attempt to revive the earlier genre. Cal, J, and Chuck (Williamson, Jim Brown, and
Kelly) battle an assortment of white villains after their friend Ralph (Richard Roundtree) has been cheated out of the profits from a martial-arts tournament he promoted. Roundtree gives a respectable performance, but the others seem to be going through the motions. Williamson exhibits no
particular flair for directing and the whole project is pretty dismal.
