At Franklin University, another mythical movie college, Martin Granville (Bruce Bennett) and Jack Gaines (Eddie Nugent) are rivals in academics, on the football field, and for the affections of Pat Meredith (Jeanne Martel). This is in keeping with an old family tradition, for their fathers (Richard Tucker and Sam Flint) continue a similar rivalry that also began in their own days at good old Franklin U.
