Two Latins From Manhattan: Review

Back in the days when there were no Latins native to New York City, a pair of Cuban show business sisters are brought to Manhattan by a nightclub owner. When they do not show up for work, Davis, the club's public relations woman, gets her roommates, Woodbury and Falkenburg, to substitute for them. The girls are a big hit but are eventually confronted by the real sisters. This weak B film is unoriginal and often sophomoric, with flat direction and a script that leaves room for nothing more than the bare-bones story. Songs include "Daddy" (Bobby Troup, sung by Davis, Falkenburg), which Sammy Kaye and his orchestra later turned into a hit record. leave a comment
