Gloria DeHaven and June Allyson play sisters Jean and Patsy Deyo, nightclub performers who transform their apartment into an after-hours USO (being 1944, it's all perfectly innocent). Van Johnson is sailor John Dyckman Brown III, a millionaire who keeps his background a secret. Both women have the hots for him, but he seems more interested in the flirtatious Jean than in her more demure sister, who has fallen harder for the swabbie.
