It's the old story of a good man destroyed by gambling, told in a flat, unoriginal style. Litel intially begins betting as a fun little sideline, but gradually he becomes an addict and begins taking funds from the bank he works at in order to pay off his debts. In the end he's killed,
but his family is saved from disgrace when Litel's employer claims the man was protecting company funds. This contrived ending is in keeping with the unbelievable story. The performances and direction are both perfunctory. Watch for an appearance by Switzer, "Alfalfa" from the OUR GANG comedies,
