The veteran actor who played ancient Volturi vampire Marcus in the Twilight movies will continue to fang it up on HBO's True Blood, Deadline reports. He'll play Dieter Braun, one of the five council members of the Vampire Authority, the highest-ranking governing authority over all vampires. Braun appears relatively mild-mannered, but revels in innovative torture techniques while interrogating prisoners.

The latest film in the series, Eclipse racked up 12 nominations, including Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy. Stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are both up for Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, while Kristen Stewart will be competing for Choice Movie Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy. Stewart will compete against herself in the Choice Movie: Liplock category. She's nominated with both Lautner and Pattinson. Last year, The Twilight Saga: New Moon topped the awards with 12 wins.
