This experimental film has good moments that nicely play with the film medium but unfortunately are overcome by artistic pretensions. The loosely told story involves Klib, a young man loved by both his stepmother and another man. The stepmother is seen as both a young and an old woman,
which at points is confusing rather than psychologically revealing as intended. The film is a series of well-composed shots wrapped around a confusing tale starring Bergmanesque actors who pose rather than perform. It won a top prize at the 1964 Belgian Experimental Film Festival, but overall the
piece just doesn't quite come together. Shot in 16mm and blown up to 35mm.
