Unambitious but pleasantly effective romantic comedy directed by Claudia Weill (GIRLFRIENDS). Kate (Jill Clayburgh), a spirited mathematics professor,is perfectly content in her relationship with a Chicago building developer (Charles Grodin) until she surprises herself by falling in love.
The new man in her life is Ben (Michael Douglas), the son of her father's bride-to-be. When Ben pursues Kate, he's disconcerted to discover she's willing to be caught. Dianne Wiest debuted in this well-acted film.
