McDowall is a young man with dreams of becoming an attorney. When a friend gets in trouble with some gamblers, McDowell ships out to try to turn the tide in his pal's favor. He helps the guy make good, but McDowall's proper Scottish family temporarily disowns him. Finally, everything is
righted, McDowell returns to his old life, and everyone is happy again. The story is slow at the begining, but once things get going, TUNA CLIPPER becomes a mildly entertaining B film with competent production values. McDowell also served as the film's co-associate producer.
