1946, Movie, NR, 63 mins

starstarstarstar
When a photographer is found dead in her studio, her husband Norris is arrested for the crime. District attorney Conway prosecutes the man for murder but finds this is not helping his love life when his girl friend Granville represents Norris as defense counsel. She's convinced of his innocence and, with the help of a lie detector, proves it. Her romance with Conway holds up despite the strain. This could have been an interesting programmer but is too slowly paced to hold interest. The novelty of the character relationships alone can't carry the film. The result is a routine and predictable courtroom drama. leave a comment
