Bory is a veterinarian who falls in love with former African explorer Greco when he calls on her sickly cheetah. She wants him to return with her to Africa, but he refuses to leave his wife, Pulver. Pulver soon becomes the victim of a succession of strange accidents, and Bory blames Greco, who has more than a passing interest in voodoo.
