This pre-feminist-era women's picture features Knudsen and Roberts as rookie cops who aren't satisfied with being assigned to desk jobs. The two bend the rules so they can hit the streets, and prove themselves when Jones, a distraught would-be suicide, is saved by the pair. Though the film
suffers from 1940s sexism, it's still ahead of its time in portraying women's roles. It's acted with good feeling and directed with competence.
