An ambitious but ultimately pretentious film that attempts to mix film noir, Theater of the Absurd, romance, and science fiction but falls flat on almost all counts. It's set in the near future in the mythical town of Rain City. The place is ruled by martial law but populated with 1940s gangsters and 1950s diners.
