So are Trekkies — sorry, Trekkers — really such big losers who fill the gaping holes in their lives with trivial expertise derived from a long-defunct TV show? On the strength of this bizarre documentary from Roger Nygard, it's hard to dismiss such harsh characterization as out of hand: Most of the extreme Trek fans Nygard and narrator Denise Crosby feature are obsessed in a big way, and if they were your children, you'd probably be thinking therapy.
