The Tree

1969, Movie, NR, 92 mins

starstarstarstar
Highly atmospheric depiction, lacking concrete plot, of a half-crazed man who kidnaps his niece while thinking about his cherished dead sister. We learn about the incestuous relationship that haunts the brother, and inevitably he commits suicide. Performances leave much to be desired, with little personality showing through the caricatures. leave a comment
