This was Disney's first totally live-action movie, and it is, by far, the best film version of the familiar Robert Louis Stevenson story. Disney regular Bobby Driscoll takes on the role of Jim Hawkins, an 18th century English lad with a treasure map and a lot of pluck. Robert Newton, with his rolling eyes and "yo-ho-hos," is magnificent as Long John Silver. Read the complete review for Treasure Island
