A Latin-inflected remake of Ang Lee's Eat Drink Man Woman, this vivid celebration of food and family has nothing particularly new to say about the ties that hold family members together, but it's a pleasure to watch such a talented ensemble at work. Hector Elizondo stars as a widowed Los Angeles restaurateur who's devoted to cooking elaborate Sunday meals for his three daughters (Elizabeth Pena, Jacqueline Obradors and Tamara Mello), all of whom are about to go through serious life changes.
