Colbert belts out a few tunes as a club singer who doubles as the host of a children's radio show. Her fondness for the kiddies comes after she gave away her child because she lacked a husband. She longs to see her kid again, spending a good portion of the film on her search, which eventually leads to Baby LeRoy. Songs: "Don't Be a Cry Baby," "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Love," "It's a Long Dark Night," "The Torch Singer" (Ralph Rainger, Leo Robin, sung by Claudette Colbert). leave a comment
