Sakai is cast as a love-stricken train conductor who enrolls in a cooking class because he is infatuated with the instructor, Sato. Baisho, who in turn loves Sakai, also enrolls in the class in order to keep Sakai away from Sato. After a number of comic escapades, Sato agrees to marry
Sakai, but only on her terms. She asks him to quit the railroad, which, after much turmoil, he agrees to do. Sato backs out, however, and Baisho ends up in the conductor's arms.
