Dull adaptation of the play, "The Animal Kingdom," which had been filmed in 1932 by RKO. This version stars Sheridan as a leftist photographer who falls in love with a rich playboy, Morgan. When Sheridan refuses to put up with Morgan's wealth and carefree lifestyle, he turns to Smith. The
two marry, but Morgan's heart still belongs to Sheridan, making for a dismal time for Smith. Morgan and Sheridan cross paths again. This time they stick it out together, and Smith heads to Reno for a divorce. Though the cast is good, the script falls short because it does not deal with the radical
vs. conservative theme of the play.
